Community Spaces Highlights

Places supported by Co-op Community Spaces exist in communities across Western Canada. We’re proud to work with organizations driven to protect, improve and beautify spaces in their towns and cities.

Since 2015, 175 projects have received support from Community Spaces.

“The Nature Centre has become a hub for nature education through summer nature camps, school programming, tourists visiting and partnerships with Houston Link to Learning, the Office of the Wet'suwet'en, Morice Watershed Monitoring Trust and other community groups like the seniors housing and day cares. Through this space we are also able to have a meeting and storage space for conservation activities in the area.”

“Today I spoke with the principal of that school and she commented how excited the students were to see the growth of everything in the greenhouse over the summer months. They will soon harvest and prepare 'Harvest Soup' which their whole school will feed on.”
