10 Years of Creating Places for Everyone

This year, Co-op Community Spaces has invested $1 million in 14 exciting projects across Western Canada.

Since 2015, 175 local projects have been supported with $12.5 million in capital funding.

About the Program

Projects can apply for between $25,000 and $150,000 in capital funding in three categories: recreation, environmental conservation and urban agriculture. For more details on eligibility and application timelines, please visit our funding page.

Providing enhanced recreation spaces in the community.

Examples:
recreation centres, playgrounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

Preservation of natural spaces in the community.

Examples:
green spaces, interpretive centers.

URBAN AGRICULTURE

URBAN AGRICULTURE

Small-scale community agriculture initiatives in both rural and urban spaces.

Examples:
community gardens, food education facilities.
