Holiday Give Card campaign generates $200,000 donation

Thanks to the generous support of our members and customers, Co-op will donate $200,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in January, 2020.

The second annual Co-op Give Card campaign saw the promotion of holiday-edition CO-OP™ Gift Cards in participating locations between November and December, 2019. For every Give Card sold, Co-op committed to donate $1 to the Canadian Red Cross, to a maximum of $250,000.

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), on behalf of the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS), will donate $200,000 to the Canadian Red Cross as a result of the 2020 campaign. To date, the Give Card campaign has helped Co-op donate a combined total of $400,000. True to the Co-op spirit, every dollar donated stays in Western Canada to support disaster management and emergency response services.
