Every local Co-op belongs to its members, not executives in Bay Street office towers, so that makes it a business guided by community values. When a business is run for the benefit of the people it serves, decisions are made based on what the community needs, not by what corporate stakeholders demand. Those decisions are made with input from Co-op members who live in the community where it operates, meaning they’re connected to the community and planning long into the future, not just for the next quarter. And because so many of our team members are also Co-op members, we can truly say our customer service is second to none: We’re owners, too!
